The WebCT online learning environment is provided for Curtin students and staff. It is located at http://webct.curtin.edu.au. Access is granted via your Curtin ID and Password.

Q: What is my Curtin ID and Password?

*Curtin students:

Use your 8-digit STUDENT NUMBER as listed on your Curtin ID card, eg. 12345678 and your OASIS PASSWORD. If you have never used OASIS, log in to OASIS to set your password.

Q: I can't access my units

A: There are a number of reasons you may not have access:

* You have not activated your OASIS account

All Curtin students must activate their OASIS account before using WebCT. Please visit the OASIS website.

* Your password has changed

If you have forgotten your OASIS Password, follow the instructions on the OASIS website.

* The unit is not online, or is accessed from another location

Check your unit outline as to the location of the web site containing your course materials. Curtin Business School students click here for further information.

* The unit has not been made available

Unit materials are updated, before being released to students at the commencement of a study period. If you have queries about specific units of study, check your unit outline, and refer to your tutor, lecturer, unit or course controller for advice.

* Your enrolment details have not been processed

Check your enrolment advice to make sure you are enrolled in the correct units. You must be enrolled prior to being given access to online courses.

Q: Connecting from home

A: The recommended browsers for use with WebCT are Intenet Explorer 5 or later (except 5.5 SP1) or Netscape 6.2.3 or later. To determine your web browser version, from the "Help" pull-down menu select "About". If you are using a Mac, select "About" from the Apple menu.

Recommended browsers are located on the Startup CD available to Curtin Students and Staff. Using this CD you can upgrade your Internet Explorer to the latest version. This solves problems in most circumstances. Further information is available here.

Q: Staff: What is my Curtin ID and Password?

Use your 7-digit STAFF ID (in UPPERCASE) as your Curtin ID, and
your 4-digit Date of Birth (DDMM) as your WebCT Password.

Your staff number is listed on your Curtin ID card, above your name, for example, 123456X. Your Password is initially set to your Date of Birth in DDMM format. For example, if you were born on 26 Jan, your password will be 2601.

If you have forgotten your staff password, please contact the WebCT Team to have your password reset.
